AcctTwo Helps Quest Analytics Track Key Subscription Finance Metrics

With automation from AcctTwo’s SaaS Intelligence, Quest Analytics can now trust their data and easily see actionable insights that Excel wasn’t showing them to support their recent shift to a business model more akin to a Software as a Service company. Their team now has data-driven conversations at the executive and department level about subscription finance metrics, such as Customer Acquisition Cost and Customer Lifetime Value, and decide confidently where they need to focus their efforts to drive more growth.

Examples of Strategic Management Accounting ROI in the 'Last Mile'

After having navigated the overwhelming finance and accounting technology landscape, and (hopefully) successfully chosen and implemented the right solutions, most companies are still left with what we call gaps in the important industry-specific functionality in “the last mile.” Most companies come up with manual workarounds for these last-mile gaps or simply live with them, never achieving true strategic management accounting.

Sage Intacct Provides Transparency to Marinus

Like so many companies, Marinus chose to use QuickBooks at the outset. But as Marinus expanded operations, it found that QuickBooks did not meet its needs for internal controls, management reporting, and external reporting:

  • Journal entries could easily be overridden
  • The chart of account structure required for tracking expenses by department and project was cumbersome
  • The financial reporting and budgeting capabilities were very limited and led to time-consuming, manual manipulation outside the application

Marinus needed an accounting solution that would tackle these concerns and also provide controlled access to real-time information to internal and external stakeholders alike.

Continuity Breaks Free From Excel with Sage Intacct

Continuity’s rapid growth put pressure on the finance organization to keep up. Like so many companies, Continuity originally chose to use QuickBooks and was forced to rely on spreadsheets to maintain complicated revenue recognition schedules for multi-entity arrangements and to deliver management and investors typical SaaS metrics like CMRR, CAC, and churn.

When Alan Hurwitz joined Continuity, he recognized the importance of putting in place the accounting infrastructure to support the company’s growth and at the same time offer a compelling value proposition (i.e. measurable ROI.) His auditing firm, Fiondella, Milone & LaSaracina, recommended that he talk to Leap the Pond. After Alan reviewed all his options, he decided that AcctTwo and Sage Intacct was the best fit – from both a functionality and cost standpoint.

United Way Senior Director of Finance Takes Full Advantage of Cloud Accounting

This year, United Way of Central Indiana (UWCI) celebrated an impressive milestone — 100 years of fighting for the education, financial stability, health and basic needs of everyone in the Central Indiana community, with a special focus on people and families who are living in or are one step away from poverty. The United Way movement began 131 years ago in Denver, Colorado, when several leaders in the religious and human service sectors had united around one cause: helping to serve people who were living in poverty. In April of 1918, the United Way movement arrived in Indianapolis in the form of a “War Chest.” The gigantic Chest was placed on the steps of Monument Circle, and a campaign to raise contributions involved every person in the community. The result: more than $3 million ($50 million in today’s dollars) was collected and donated to dozens of charities and relief organizations throughout the region. Since 1918, UWCI has worked with more than 80 agencies that serve the critical needs of the community.

How a Mission Uses Sage Intacct Nonprofit to Increase Visibility

How AccTwo and Sage Intacct Nonprofit Accounting Helped Mission of Hope: Haiti (MOH)

In 1972, Sharon Johnson went to Haiti to direct a choir that was traveling around the country. As she looked into the faces in the crowds, she fell in love with the people of Haiti. She returned each year with her husband, Bob, and over time, they felt the need to provide the people of Haiti with help every day and not just once or twice a year. In 1983 they formed what is today Mission of Hope: Haiti (MOH).

Officially founded in 1998, MOH has since grown from a small mission located on a barren piece of land, to a fruitful organization that now houses an onsite orphanage, medical facility, school, and church. Through partnerships, MOH also serves outside of its property by helping other orphanages, churches, and schools throughout the country.
